Bombardier to Pilot!

Easter Eggs Hanging

Today I saw a red tailed hawk dive bomb a raven. (No pictures – sorry.) The raven flipped over at the last moment avoiding the hawk and fluttered into a leafless maple. The hawk landed on the top of said tree glaring at the raven. They sat there longer than I was willing to stay and watch.

This is a behavior I’ve never seen before. The two are about equally matched in size but the hawk seemed to have the upper claw. I’ve seen grackles, who are much smaller, go after both the hawk and raven but never this. Very interesting.

Outdoors: 43°F/24°F Sunny

Daily Spark: Something I ate disagreed with me and we quickly parted ways.
