Roaster Pig Available 47 lbs
Oven, Butterfly & Spit Roasters

I have a 47 lb roaster pig available now in my on-farm butcher shop cooler. $5/lb + $65 USDA kill so $300 picked up here at the farm.

Roaster pigs are available in all sizes. Prices range from $4 to $6 per pound depending on size. Smaller pigs cost more per pound as do very large roasters do to difficulty in handling. See the Roaster Page for details on other sizes up to 200 lbs can be ordered with a three week lead time.

Smaller sizes are shippable up to about 40 lbs or so – typically $100 to $200 for shipping depending on weight.

You can pickup at the farm or get delivery along our weekly route n Vermont for $15. I-89 from Barre to Montpelier, Plainfield, Hardwick, Stowe, Burlington, I-91 from Bradford to Brattleboro and also up to Hardwick and Cabot.

Contact me at to order.

I also make porchetta rolls and easy carve pigs where the bones are removed except the skull and foretrotters for presentation – available head off if you prefer and then the roast is sewn and tied for cooking in an oven, on a spit or grill. This is a flat $200 price. A very elegant and delicious centerpiece for family reunions, wedding and other gatherings.

Daily Spark: I come from a large family. Eight kids including one foster sister. Politically correct liberals would make derogatory comments to my parents and say things to the effect, “Don’t you know about contraception!?!” My parents would reply, “Oh, yes, we figured that out after #7! We switched from a plastic cup to paper cups in the bathroom. No more babies!” The joke, on the nasty person, is that BOTH of my parents are not only doctors but family physicians and have delivered thousands of babies as well as talked to probably tens of thousands of young people about birth control. My parents simply liked having a large family. I agree.
