Free Meat on the Vermont State House Lawn!
On Wednesday, October 4th we’ll be giving away free meat on the Vermont state house lawn. The Agency of Agriculture is having a fair to show off local food producers and we’ll be there. We’ll be handing out free samples of our meat for you to try at home.
We’ll also be doing signups for our CSA Farmer’s Basket ($50 for 10 lbs of pork), whole pigs and more. We’ll have a few Farmer’s Baskets with us for those who want to get one at the event.
Porchetta Roll Roast – Belly Only Version… Delicious!
I’ll also be serving up a cooked porchetta pig roast and a porchetta roll. Bring your appetite!
While you’re there, also visit Babette’s Table – they use our pork for their charcuterie.

Q: How long will a pig last vacuum packed in the freezer?
A: Freezing isn’t so much of a problem as ours live all winter outdoors in USDA zone 3 but the pigs will die if you vacuum pack them – A pig’s gotta breathe.
