Wild Blue Iris
I think this is Iris giganticaerulea also known commonly as a wild blue iris or giant blue iris. I’ve seen them for years down around our marsh. Last year I spotted some up in the field we had cleared across the road and then this spring I found one on our side of the road in the ditch.
Outdoors: 81°F/50°F 4″ of Delightful Rain
Tiny Cottage: 66°F/62°F
Daily Spark: Some farmers ring the noses of their pigs to stop them from rooting. Does that work with sports fans?
I originally thought “…down around are marsh” should be “…down around the marsh”. I then realized the correct homonym replacement of “are” should be “our”.
Woops! Got it. Fixed. Thanks for spotting that!
