
Geese & Goslings in South Field
Of the six goslings hatched this spring five are still alive and thriving out in the south field. They are starting to take on the colors of their parents and look much more sure of themselves.

Walter, do your geese stay on the farm year-round? I can’t remember you ever saying they are domestic, but I can’t remember you saying if they migrated and returned every year. I have seen images of the geese on snow, but, err, you folks get snow in what the rest of the world thinks is summer, in some years.
Yes, these are domestic geese. They could easily leave but choose to stay. I guess the grass is greener on this side of the fence.
