As some people have noted the subscribe link and some of the other features in the right sidebar are missing. I was having some trouble the other week with my WordPress blogging software and had reverted back to the default settings for the theme Twenty-Ten. Unfortunately that lost my sidebar settings. As soon as possible I will fix that.

What brand of rubber boot do you use? Trying to find a rubber boot that will be able to endure mud, pig cheap, and water seem important to me. Thanks

    • We have a lot of Muck boots. I say a lot because they don’t last. However they last the longest of the boots we’ve tried over the past 20 years and they are waterproof and decently warm. We like the tall insulated ones with good treat. There are some with awful tread which wet got the first time and they slide sideways on our icy mountain trails.

I Looked those boots up on Amazon. They cost a pretty penny. My Virginia Piedmont hillside is more gentle than yours so I’ll give some suitable looking pair a try. Thanks.

I subscribed to your blog but was only getting notifications sporadically, and then it stopped altogether around Jan 5. I haven’t received any notifications about new posts since then. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change to receive notification as soon as you post? Thanks.

    • In the beginning of January there was a problem. I think it is fixed now. I have manually deleted your subscription and recreated. Let me know if that works and you start getting notifications again. Anyone who has this problem could try unsubscribing and resubscribing to see if that works. Otherwise let me know and I’ll look into it. Cheers, -Walter

Yes, I’m just catching up with your blog now as I’d stopped getting notices, and life is busy enough I hadn’t been wandering over on my own. . . .
