Front Door Sill
The bottoms of our door sills are sometimes polished smooth since we’re pulling our stone from the waste granite piles. To properly bond with the concrete they need to be roughed up a bit.
Ben got a bit creative diamond grinding the bottom of the front door sill, a gorgeous 430 pound chunk of dark red granite.

Daily Spark: As a programmer I didn’t like bugs. Being a lazy sort I wrote a program to write buggy software so I wouldn’t have to. But there were bugs in my code that was supposed to generate buggy software such that it writes bug-free code. Perfection by indirection. The code of Aikido.
Love it! So creative! What fun for someone to find in the future. You should a time capsule!
Where do you get the granite from?
I am in the same general neck of the woods as you, but new to the area.
We get waste granite from the local quarries and stone carving sheds. Supply ends just about now each fall as we go into hunting season and winter. The key is to get it from the closest source possible due to the cost of the trucking.
