We just got the shipment of goodies that I had ordered last month. This includes all the T-shirts, mugs, calendars, posters, art prints, postcards and such which are rewards for the Kickstarter backers who helped with buying concrete and equipment during the work on our butcher shop last summer.
I started the calendar on March 2013 and it runs through February of 2014 so you’ll get a full 12 months of enjoyment. There was a problem with the glitch on 20 of the calendars so the printing company is redoing those and we should have them in a couple of weeks. Some of them were fine so we’ll start mailing out the good ones we have now.
Other than that everything looked great. The pork cut charts, on both the T-shirts and the posters looks fabulous. They did a great job with those. I have updated the pork cut chart a little – it is constantly under revision year to year as I improve it bit by bit. A little digital joke there… :)
The brochure on the left side came out very nicely in high resolution. Normally I print them out on our color printer in small quantities but preparing for sending out all the Kickstarter rewards was a high enough volume that it was actually less expensive to get them printed up at a commercial printing press. As a bonus they folded them all – having the right tool for the job saves a lot of time! I’m planning to include a few extra brochures in each package – please pass them on to help spread the word about our farm and our products. Word of mouth is the best form of marketing!
