Kickstarted 34% in Five Days!

Flier to Hang Around Town

Wow! We have hit 34% funding in only five days. Thank you to everyone who has been helping spread the word about our Kickstarting the Butcher Shop project! Please continue post on your blogs, Facebook, tweeting and what ever else you can do to spread the word. It’s all greatly appreciated.

I just made up the poster above for Holly. She’s going to hang it around Vermont while on her delivery route to let people in the area know about our project. If you would be so kind as to hang a few too that would be great. You can click on the poster to get a full resolution version to print by saving it to your hard drive. Alternatively, I can mail you some posters if you want to email me your postal address.

Thanks also to everyone who’s pressed the Like button under our video on the Kickstarter page. As I write this we’re up to 524 Facebook Likes. I don’t fully understand Facebook but hopefully that is helping too. I hope you also enjoyed watching the video – a little virtual micro-tour of our farm and the construction project.

Speaking of tours, WCAX news reporter Judy Simpson and her camera woman Robin came out to our farm last Friday to interview me about the project and that aired last night which brought a bunch of people in from Vermont (Welcome!) to the project. You can see her interview and a little more of the farm at WCAX-TV‘s web site.

However, as a representative of the Reduction of Unecessary Punctuation Squad I must let you know that the plural of pig is “pigs”, with no apostraphe apostrophe.
    Thank you for your attention.

You may now correct my spelling of apostrophe.

    • Done. Thx! :) Of note, I always appreciate corrections. One of the beauties of the web is we can fix things like this. I published a paper magazine for a decade. It was always rather an anxious day when we sent the film off to the printer for the run of over 100,000 magazine. Despite having spent two months proofing and editing I knew I would find a typo when it returned and there was nothing that could be done about it. With the web I get to fix errors. As I quipped once, I fixed the internet so now it won’t breed. :)
