Golden Chrystanthemum in Morning Light
This beautiful flower was in a planter outside of the Alchemist Pub in Waterbury, Vermont when we were delivering meat this week. The lighting was spectacular and I could not resist snatching it’s photo. Click on the image to see a larger much more detailed version and then go deeper into the bloom.

Bravo! The colors and details are splendid! I love that flower. I hope you don’t mind if I snag it and use it for my desktop picture? You are such a renisanse man. Pig farmer. Photographer. Carpenter. Dog trainer. Keep it all up and keep enjoying your pork. I wish I lived closer and could buy from you. I absolutely loooove maple bacon which we had when we were in Vermont visiting family.
Enjoy. Just keep the SugarMtnFarm.com logo on the image, please so people know where it came from. Cheers, -Walter
Beautiful shot Walter…
Beautiful! Isn’t it wonderful when you see such a photo opportunity and actually have your camera!
Spectacular. Your photos show your love of art and your intense focus on what matters in life. Thank you for sharing!
I was reading how you get your photos with such a simple camera. I am amazed. I have almost the same point and shoot camera from casio and my photos never come close to looking like yours. I had figured you must have one of those big fancy Dslr cameras with multiple lenses and all that good stuff on it to get such gorgeous art quality photos. So prey tell how do you do it?? Time for you to write an article of how-to-get-the-most-out-of-your-camera no matter how cheap it is. A lot of people would benefit from that. The fact that you’ve been doing it here with examples for years proves it is possible. I want a poster framed print of that chrystanthemum as it is spectactular to say the least. Then I want to be able to take pictures like that.
That’s a good idea for an article although I would think it would have been already done on various photography web sites. I’ll start taking notes on what I do and see what I can put together.
