Mother Nature Clearing the Driveway
The extreme cold on Monday and then the icy rain today have delayed our final pour for the greenhouse. Hopefully the weather tomorrow will be better.
The photo above shows the effect of wind on our driveway. I’m trying to get our landscaping such that the hard north wind in the winter will naturally clear the snow reducing how much I have to plow. It seems to be working. The other issue is getting the drainage right so water stays off the driveway and doesn’t form ice patches. That too is much better this year although i still want to put a culvert in at the second corner. Gradually things improve.
Treasure hunt – Can you spot:
Two dogs?
Two pigs?
Apple pomace bin?
Red dump truck?
Outdoors: 38°F/21°F Icy rain all day, snow in the evening.
Farm House: 59°F/45°F
Tiny Cottage: 68°F/59°F
I wish we had the snow you’ve got. A few degrees cooler and it would have been, but instead we got an inch of rain on the coast of Maine!
Well, I got a pig & dog quick & easy. Had to look for the dump truck & other pig. never did find the other dog, I suspect it's one of ur camo-dogs! And, I might have found the apple pumice bin if I had the slightest clue what one looks like! :o
Looks very cold!
Have you all blown away, then? Frozen solid? No entry since Wednesday. I’m beginning to worry . . .
