Walter, you are really making this native-Maine girl homesick…great pics. Have I told you recently how cool I think you and Holly are?!
What a beautiful photograph! Makes me think of Fall – my favorite season.
Walter, just wanted to let you know I thought of you the other day…
I’m sitting at my desk in my office, talking with a client on the phone when from across the office I hear distraught and agitated cries from my co-worker, “OH MY GOSH!!! AHHH OH MY GOSH.” Followed by concerned words from my boss, “Jess what’s wrong are you ok?” She proceeds to explain that she was gazing out the window when a frightened squirrel ran by. She was confused by its quick glances upward & fast zig zag patterns when out of nowhere a crow zoomed down into our suburban office parking lot and promptly snatched and flew off with said squirrel.
Across the office, I tried to pay attention to my client on the phone but was thinking, “Wow… Walter’s dogs were right!” When all of a sudden out my window I see crow swoop down and gently drop off squirrel before swooping off to perch on a power line. My jaw dropped. I guess the squirrel was a squirmy passenger and threw of the crow’s groove‌. or maybe they were old pals going for a joy ride.. who knows :)
Anyway, sorry to detract from the beautiful broccoli picture but I thought you would find my experience interesting.
Wow! Way cool story, Crystal! That could be turned into a great children’s book. Sometimes I write stories for our kids, or just tell them as I make them up. That right there has a lot of potential for an adventure. A fill in the blanks… Thanks for sharing it!
relaxing to read and enjoy your pics. Looks like a heathy life style.
