All Walls Rising

This morning we finished core pouring the eighth course of block wall of the solid wind breaking north wall of our tiny cottage that we had started with the slab pour on November 6th. In the afternoon we got the east, south and west walls as well as the interior partition walls up to the eighth course and all poured.

The cool thing about the end of today is that now you can see the windows, doors and other elements taking shape. As Holly noted, now she can really see what the view will be like from each of the rooms. Below is a rough pan from the inside.

I took these images with my back near the north wall. Things don’t line up well in the photo collage due to distortion of the lens and the perspective is a bit odd but it gives you an idea of spaces. Finally having the walls up around the windows is really encouraging!
