This morning I found the first fall ice. This raises thoughts of ice sculptures to come. This very thin half moon of ice was in the lid of a five gallon pail up at our house construction site. I was able to slip it out without breaking it and held it up to the sky above the moon that was the same shape. I was hoping to catch them in the photo but the contrast is to great for the camera to catch both the dim moon and the bright morning sky over Bear Ridge.
The small photo above does not do it justice. If you can take the large download, click on the image for the full sized view.
