Blue Sky Ice Trees in Setting Sun

Sunsetting over Sugar Mountain Bear Ridge Plateau through Iced Trees

As I was plowing the driveway for the whey truck the sun was setting over the mountain lighting up the crystal trees coated in ice.

Outdoors: 3°F/-8°F Sunny, 14″ snow + 1/2″ ice
Tiny Cottage: 62°F/56°F

Daily Spark: According to the latest study on meat eating you’ll live three months longer if you give up all bacon, red meat, processed meats, etc for your ENTIRE life. Imagine living 76.24 years instead of 76 years but all of that being without bacon. A sad life. A life without bacon just isn’t worth living… Other studies show there is no gain.

So true, so true! And since I’m already nearly 70 and have enjoyed bacon my entire life so far, there’s absolutely no sense now at all. So, let’s have bacon for every meal!

I suppose I should be thankful that we have not had ice storms in TN for several years. However, it is so beautiful, especially early morning. I would get out early with my camera. I expect that the next time we do get an ice storm we will have many power outages and a lot of tree damage.
I like the daily spark about bacon. I’ll trade 6 months of life for a life filled with bacon. Chances are the next study will find that eating bacon every day promotes good health…
