    I hope that your cottage windows are not rusting out….that red color around the frame looks awfully suspicious.

    Hey Walter! How did you get the concrete parge to stick to the foam? I’m thinking of putting up some foam for insulation and though I’d like to cover it with stone eventually, putting a concrete parge on for protection until then would be nice. Thanks!

    • I roughed up the foam, applied a neat cement to it, let that cure and then parged over that. I did it for the same reasons you mention: Someday I’m going to do stone work outside the foam to finish off the exterior of the cottage but for now I needed to protect the foam. It worked great.
