Suckling Pigs for the Holidays

Many cultures have a wonderful tradition of oven / suckling roaster pigs for the holidays. These are small roaster pigs that you can easily cook in your oven like a turkey or other roasts. I have two fresh (20 & 32 lbs) and two frozen (20 & 21 lbs) that are available right now. Cost is $210 to $220. They are available for pickup here at the farm, on our weekly delivery route and are small enough that they can be shipped.   1. Someone asked about what the most common size is for holiday roasters…

    Oven roasters that we get demand for are in the 20 to 35 lb range typically with some outliers as small as 10 lb and some as large as 45 lbs. It depends a bit on how many people you’re feeding and how big your oven is most importantly. I would suggest larger than smaller. There is a size chart to help figure pan and oven sizes on this page.

    Thanks for including the size chart. Now to figure out if that would fit in my smoker, and then see if the boss (a/k/a my wife ;-) ) would let me get away with having you ship to where I am in Maryland. :-D
