Frying Pan Bell
This is our dinner bell. It is simply an old cast iron frying pan hung at the side of our cottage by some polywire with a stick hanging below. The poly wire is important, other strings decay in the sunlight and weather but the polywire has stainless steel strands which hold up.
We also use walkie-talkies and calls to communicate over the distances of the farm but there is something homey about the iron bell.
Outdoors: 34°F/24°F Sunny
Tiny Cottage: 66°F/62°F
Daily Spark: When someone starts out by saying, “In all honesty…” or “To tell the truth…” it gives me the impression that normally they lie.
