Burdock Graveyard

Burdock Graveyard

Dead burdock fruit at the Plainfield Food Coop in Plainfield, Vermont. They carry our meat in their fresh and frozen sections. I got this interesting photo while we were making deliveries.

  1. LOVE this photo. The juxtaposition of the crackly dead burdock against the unyeilding stone of the graveyard markers, perfect. Other “ordinary” folk would be snapping the usual fall leaves this time of year but not you Walter. Which is why I read your blog every dang day.

I love that picture. The headstones make the perfect backdrop for the seedhead.
