Although they’re a bit late this year it does look like it will be a good year for cucumbers. I think the delay was caused by the dryness. This particular cucumber is growing in the back of the open farrowing shed at the house end. I used glazing panels on the roof which makes it into a bit of a greenhouse and the pig pond is just in front of it. I’m hoping that the tomatoes and cucumbers in there will survive the early frosts due to the wind protection and the micro-climate. Perhaps we’ll have fresh ones through the fall.
